Tolkien’s secret vice is no longer so secret. Well, it
hasn’t been secret to me since I found out about it in any case. Well, after years
of just reading fantasy, in late 1999 I started writing it. Looking back, It
was dreadful, but still I haven’t stopped and have plodded on over the last
couple of years, eventually reaching a stage where everything is reaching a
stage of complexity, if not completeness.
Here I’m posting a few bits of that work to the scrutiny of
any who may pass this way. Feed back will result in comments, just mail Warmaster@tiscali.co.uk and we can
talk. Any way, enjoy.
Kaldon: The
language of my ten foot tall “Ezleg” people. It’s not great, and is always a
work in progress, but its here. The lexicon, as far as it is done, can be found
here.
The peoples of Bair: Here is a
short {ish} account of my massed races. it wasn’t intended for anyone to read
it, but information wise, it is invaluable.
The Debate of Herkila Isronin: A
short story of mine based on Bair. A bit of a rant in places, and it could
certainly do with a huge amount of work, but it has a bit of character.
The Traveller: Another short
story, actually very short. Written one day when I rode my bike fifteen miles
to the beach. Why? How the hell should I know!
The Life of Hlideð Kwithen: this
is another story about the Romine. I have not finished it as I have been
changing the geography, but here it is to see as it stands.
The Ardylamar: Well, this is my epic story, a quarter of a
million words long. I wouldn’t normally post such a behemouth on the net, but it’s
been sitting dormant for over a year now while I elaborate the world around it.
As such, the eventual revisions is will do to it will make it utterly
different. As such, here it is, sorry about the formatting, and for the fact I had
to split it up into seven sections
Enjoy
